2 Women Charged with Sex Trafficking in Silver Spring

Two women have been charged with multiple counts of sex trafficking and prostitution following a five-month investigation by Montgomery County Police’s Vice and Intelligence Unit.

Ana Delia Solano (right), 48, of Silver Spring, and Ana Cristina Bermudez (left), 49, of Riverdale, are accused of running an unlicensed spa in the 9500 block of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. The two women advertised massage services on Craigslist and used sexually explicit photos of women, according to police.

During its investigation, police saw male clients enter and leave the facility, and learned that the clients were offered extra services with prices based on the sexual service provided.

According to police, the women hired several women as massage therapists and allegedly coerced the women into sex trafficking by force. Detectives are seeking other women that may have been hired and potentially victimized by Bermudez and Solano.

Solano was arrested Nov. 30 and is being held without bond. Her trial is set for Jan. 13. She is charged with sex trafficking force/fraud, aiding and abetting and getting financial benefit from sex trafficking and prostitution business.

Bermudez was arrested Dec. 1 and faces the same charges. Her trial is set for Jan. 19. She was released from commitment.
