Friday Family Fun:  Montgomery parks hosts an evening of roller and inline skating in Germantown at the Ridge Road Recreational Park inline skating rink from 6-9 p.m. Get a jump on summertime amusement park fun at Westfield Montgomery’s carnival today from 5-11 p.m. The carnival is also open Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16. Enjoy live jazz today from 5-7:30 p.m. indoors in the Westfield Montgomery Blossom Lodge.

3. Potomac Library Reopens: After nearly a year of renovations, the library branch reopens Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m. with a celebratory ceremony.

4. Prom Dress Event: The second annual Praisner’s Project Prom Dress giveaway event takes place Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m..-2 p.m. in Burtonsville.

5. Cherry Blossom Parade: Silver Spring native Lisa Ann Walter is the host and honorary marshall for the Cherry Blossom Parade on Saturday, April 15. Walter plays Melissa Schementti on the Emmy Award-winning ABC sitcom Abbott Elementary. MyMCM’s Director of Content Joe Yasharoff spoke with Walter in this podcast.
