3. Cultural Heritage Concert Series: Arab American and Scottish American from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center. 

Montgomery County Recreation, in partnership with Carpe Diem, is putting on a Cultural Heritage Concert Series thanks to a grant provided by the National Endowment of the Arts. These intergenerational, free concerts aim to increase connection and promote greater understanding and respect by offering high-quality, diverse concerts to residents.

Featuring performing artists Laith Alattar and Sean Heely.

4. Pedestrian Safety: The MCDOT Pedestrian Safety Team will be at Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring from 4 to 8 p.m. to promote pedestrian, driving, and bike safety to Montgomery County residents. Visit the MCDOT table at the Level 2 mall entrance near Ben and Jerry’s and Kung Fu Tea for free giveaways and learn more about the safety programs.
