3. High School Basketball Playoffs: B-CC plays Magruder Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the boys county championship game. The girls county championship pits Clarksburg against B-CC in a game scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Friday following the boys game. There’s an interesting story behind determining who would play Magruder in the boys game.

4. “Soul of Langston” One Man Play:  Takoma Park Arts presents a play based on the life of Langston Hughes Friday, Feb. 23 at the Takoma Park Community Center at 7:30 p.m.
