2. Council President Briefing: Council President Andrew Friedson’s weekly media briefing is scheduled today at 11 a.m. Friedson is expected to discuss various Council issues and answer questions from the media. Watch today’s briefing on the Council’s Facebook page here.

3. HEECAP Information Session: The county’s new grant program to help nonprofits retrofit homes for energy efficiency and climate resilience is currently accepting applications. Today at 1 p.m. the county is holding a virtual information session on the program and the application process.

4. Municipal Monday:  The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council meet in closed session at 7:35 p.m. The agenda and agenda packet are available online. The Rockville Mayor and Council meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall. Here is the agenda.

5. Crossvines Winery: Crossvines, a winery with a mission, opened in Poolesville last June. With a $30 million investment by the Maryland Revenue Authority, Crossvines hopes to foster a burgeoning wine businesses in Maryland. MCM paid a visit recently to see how that was going.
