5 Things to Know Today, May 7, in Montgomery County

Today is Friday, May 7, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County:

1. COVID-19 Vaccine: The Mass Vaccination Site at Montgomery College’s Germantown Campus is offering walk-up appointments today from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Click here to make an appointment instead and avoid long wait times.

2. County COVID-19 Testing Clinics: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at six testing sites today, and nine sites this weekend. Health officials continue to stress the importance of testing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

3. Gaithersburg Book Festival: For the second year the festival will take place virtually throughout the month of May.  Check out our updated guide to the 2021 Virtual Gaithersburg Book Festival to plan your GBF experience.
