9 Job Fairs for Summer Employment with County Recreation

Montgomery County Recreation is hiring part-time employees to work during the 2024 summer season. Available positions include camp directors, assistant directors, camp counselors, lifeguards and more.

“Summer work in our Recreation Department provides a very valuable and rewarding opportunity to create fun programming, exciting experiences and memories for the youth of our community,” Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich said in a statement. “I encourage everyone to come learn more and apply to work with us at these upcoming career fairs.”

Job fairs are scheduled at the following locations and dates:

  • Thursday, February 22, 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Gwendolyn E. Coffield Recreation Center, 2450 Lyttonsville Road, Silver Spring
  • Wednesday, February 28, 5 – 8 p.m. Silver Spring Aquatic and Recreation Center, 1319 Apple Ave., Silver Spring
  • Friday, March 8, 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Long Branch Recreation Center. 8700 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring
  • Saturday March 9, 10 a.m. – 12:30 pm. at the Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Recreation Center, 13850 Travilah Road, Rockville
  • Saturday, March 9, 3 – 5:30 p.m. at the Germantown Recreation Center, 18905 Kingsview Road, Germantown
  • Tuesday, March 12, 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the White Oak Recreation Center, 1700 April Lane, Silver Spring
  • Thursday, April 4 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Upper County Recreation Center, 8201 Emory Grove Road, Gaithersburg
  • Saturday April 6, 10 a.m. – 12:30 pm. at the Bauer Drive Recreation Center, 14625 Bauer Drive, Rockville
  • Saturday, April 6, 3 – 5:30 p.m. at the East County Recreation Center, 3310 Gateshead Manor Way, Silver Spring

Part-time/seasonal pay rate starts at $16.70 per hour and increases based on experience. Applicants must be at least 15 years old. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply, according to the statement.
