5 Things to Know Today, July 3, In Montgomery County

It’s Thursday, July 3, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County.

1. Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Commission: Community Engagement Committee meeting from 3 to 4 p.m.

The IDD Commission includes 25 members, including individuals from the intellectual and developmental disability community, service providers and service agencies, and the Commission on People with Disabilities, who will be focusing on promoting direct communication among families, support staff, private and public organizations and the public about programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

2. Mobile Health Clinic: The County’s mobile health clinic will be in Poolesville today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the WUMCO Help Inc., located at 17821 Elgin Rd. Residents, with and without health insurance, are eligible. Bring a photo ID and proof of residence. Learn more.

3. Food Distribution: Today from 8 to 11 a.m. at 2120 Tech Road, Silver Spring.

4. Montgomery Parks: Join Shakespeare in the Parks today at 7:30 p.m. for a vibrant 2025 tour of The Comedy of Errors, set during Italy’s lively Carnival season. With masquerades and mistaken identities, this uproarious production brings Shakespeare’s classic farce to life in a whirl of chaos and comedy.
