Montgomery County Police detectives ask for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of assaulting a child at a Dave & Buster’s in downtown Silver Spring earlier this fall.
The incident occurred about 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the family restaurant and entertainment venue located in the 8600 block of Colesville Road, police said.
A 10-year-old girl was in the arcade area when an adult male, unknown to her, approached and allegedly removed her shoes and socks before smelling her feet and then leaving, according to investigators.
Police have classified the incident as an assault on a minor.
Months after the incident, detectives say the suspect has not been identified and the investigation remains active.
