A man was ejected from his car in a fatal multi-vehicle crash Monday night in Damascus.
Montgomery County Police and fire rescue personnel were alerted to the crash at 10:30 p.m. in the area of Ridge Road, north of Sweepstakes Roads. When they arrived, they found the driver of a Toyota Camry in the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An adult female driving a Lexus NX350 was trapped in her vehicle. She was extricated and taken to a local hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to police.
A third vehicle, a Ford Fusion, was involved. The driver was not injured.
Multiple witnesses told police the driver of the Toyota was speeding as he headed north on Ridge Road.
The crash remains under investigation.
