Montgomery County Police identified the victim of the fatal shooting as Quentin Tyrone Davis, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, Davis was walking alone through the parking lot toward the hotel when an unknown suspect confronted him. Shortly after the confrontation, the suspect shot Davis and ran from the area, according to police.
There is no suspect information available at the current time.

A 41-year-old man was pronounced dead from an apparent gunshot wound Thursday in the parking lot of the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel, according to Montgomery County Police.
Police and fire and rescue personnel responded to the 5700 block of Marinelli Road at around 11:37 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim, who was a guest at the hotel.
Officers attempted live saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers, with assistance from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Metro Transit Police, canvassed the area and nearby trains at the Bethesda Metro station, but did not locate a suspect.
More information is expected to be released to the public as the investigation unfolds. The victim’s relatives have been notified, according to police
