A teenager was transported to a nearby hospital after being shot Monday evening in Silver Spring.
Police and fire-rescue crews responded to the 1300 block of Castle Boulevard in the Briggs Chaney neighborhood around 7:40 p.m. They found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
The teenager remains in stable condition.
The police continue to search for a suspect.
