1. Health Fair: From 10 a.m.-3 p.m., a new health care nonprofit called WellTogether will offer free health screenings at a launch event at Marian Fryer Town Plaza at 2424 Reedie Drive in Wheaton.

2. Travel Alternatives During Red Line Closure: Click here to see travel alternatives outlined by the county for the Metro Red Line closure. Through Sept. 6, Red Line trains will not run between the North Bethesda and Friendship Heights stations due to construction.

Free shuttle buses will replace trains at the Grosvenor-Strathmore, Medical Center and Bethesda stations. See more here

3. Hiking Histories: From 11 a.m.-2 p.m., residents can join a two-to-three hour guided hike through Agricultural History Farm Park at 18400 Muncaster Road in Derwood. $12 fee. Register here
