The Greenbriar main playground, which is located at 12525 Glen Road in Potomac, was destroyed Tuesday, and officials believe the cause was arson.

“We put a lot of effort into creating a safe and enjoyable space for the community, and it’s so sad to see it destroyed,” said Miti Figueredo, director of Montgomery County Parks.

The playground is closed until further notice. The tot playground, which was not damaged, remains open.
