Author Spotlight: Liza Mundy Headlines Gaithersburg Book Festival

Award-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling author Liza Mundy will present her latest book on Saturday, May 18, at the Gaithersburg Book Festival (GBF), where she joins over 130 other authors. A former staff writer for The Washington Post, Mundy also contributes to The Atlantic, Politico, and Smithsonian, among other publications.

Mundy’s historical novel, “The Sisterhood: The Secret History of Women at the CIA,” chronicles three generations at the CIA, focusing on the women who fought to become operatives, transformed spycraft, and tracked down Osama bin Laden.

Gaithersburg Mayor and GBF creator Jud Ashman shares a brief review of Mundy’s latest book, “The Sisterhood: The Secret History of Women at the CIA.”

Mundy presents at 3:15 p.m. in the Frederick Douglass Pavilion and will sign books at 4:15 p.m.
