Just after midnight on Saturday, a single-car crash claimed the life of a man in the 7100 block of Glenbrook Road in Bethesda.
According to a report by Montgomery County Police, officers from District 2 and fire rescue personnel responded to the accident scene at 12:05 a.m.
While the white 2022 Toyota Venza was traveling on Glenbrook Road, the SUV left the road, striking a pole and then a tree.
The driver, 68-year-old Khanh Truong Nguyen of Bethesda, was declared dead at the scene. A 65-year-old female passenger was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The fatality is being investigated by the Collision Reconstruction Team.
