Lauren Hemann of Holton-Arms School was recently named the Gatorade Maryland Girls Soccer Player of the Year.
The junior midfielder and defender scored seven goals and had nine assists this past season. She led the Panthers to the Independent School League tournament semifinals.
Hemann played in the Four Nations Cup with the U.S. Soccer Under-17 Women’s National Team in the summer of 2025. And she participated in a training camp with the U18 National Team in April.
Hemann has maintained a weighted 4.05 GPA in the classroom. She’s made a verbal commitment to play soccer at Stanford University beginning in the fall of 2027.
The Gatorade Player of the Year program recognizes one state winner from each of the 50 states and Washington D.C., in 12 different sports.
