Concerns mount over Potomac sewage spill

Repair efforts continue for the pipe collapse that released millions of gallons of sewage into the Potomac River.

Local residents are still dealing with the aftermath of the collapse, from loss of business to hazard concerns.

On Thursday, people filled the cafeteria at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda for a meeting with DC Water — which owns and operates the pipeline — to share their concerns and get some answers about the Potomac Interceptor collapse.

Emergency repairs are expected to be done mid-March, according to DC Water.

DC Water said there will be more community meetings about this issue.
