County COVID-19 Cases Increase by 165

As of Saturday, the Maryland Department of Health reports 4,919 cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County, which is an increase of 165 cases from the 4,754 reported Friday.

The health department reports that 256 county residents have died from COVID-19. This is an increase of 20 deaths since Friday. The number of probable deaths is 26.

There are 1,100 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents and staff of senior living facilities and 149 deaths in the county.

Maryland COVID-19 Statistics

As of Saturday morning, there were 24,473 confirmed cases throughout the state. That is an increase of 1,001 cases in the last 24 hours. There were 1,156 deaths, an increase of 58.

In Maryland, 4,718 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak of COVID-19. This is an increase of 159. On Saturday, 1,657 Marylanders were hospitalized, which is 11 fewer than Friday.

Throughout the state, almost 1,700 hospital beds are being used for COVID-19 patients.

A total of 8,470 cases and 482 deaths involve the state’s African American community.

There have been 4,919 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 554 deaths in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the state. This number includes residents and staff.
