Summer doesn’t officially start until June 20, but for many, the season kicks off when the pool gates swing open Memorial Day weekend. Montgomery County Recreation’s seven outdoor pools will welcome swimmers starting at noon on Saturday, May 24.
All children under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by someone at least 16 years old. To ensure safety, Montgomery County Recreation encourages all residents to follow water safety guidelines.

Pre-season Schedule (May 24–June 13)
Outdoor pools will be open on weekends from noon to 6 p.m.
On Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, pools will operate in two sessions: 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and 3–6 p.m.
Advance tickets for Memorial Day are available through ActiveMONTGOMERY.
Summer Season Schedule (June 14–Aug. 15)
- Weekdays: 1–8 p.m.
- Weekends: Noon–8 p.m.
- Note: The Upper County Outdoor Pool will be closed on Fridays during the summer season. All outdoor pools will close at 6:30 p.m. on July 26 for an all-staff training.
Schedule Exceptions
- All pools will close at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26 for staff training.
- On Juneteenth (Wednesday, June 19) and Independence Day (Thursday, July 4), pools will operate in two sessions: 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and 3–6 p.m.

- Daily Admission (Residents):
Youth (under 18): $5 | Adults: $7 | Seniors (55+): $6
Proof of county residency required. - Daily Admission (Non-residents): $20
- Season Passes: Valid May 24–Sept 2; now available for purchase.
