COVID-19 Numbers Continue to Rise; Deaths Statewide Approach 500

Montgomery County COVID-19 Statistics

According to statistics released by the Maryland Department of Health Sunday morning, the number of Montgomery County COVID-19 cases is now 2,507. That is an increase of 103 cases in the last 24 hours.

The number of deaths in the county due to the coronavirus is 80, an increase of ten since Saturday.  The number of probable deaths — not confirmed by COVID-19 testing — is 16.

Maryland COVID-19 Statistics

As of Sunday morning, there are 12,830 cases of COVID-19 in Maryland, which is an increase of 522 cases from the 12,308 cases reported Saturday.

The total number of deaths in Maryland due to COVID-19 is currently reported as 486, up from 463 on Saturday. There is no additional information about the 23 victims at this time.

Of the total Maryland cases, 2,886 were hospitalized at some point and 914 have been released from isolation. According to the Maryland Department of Health, there have been 55,061 negative coronavirus tests in the state.
