Police Seek to Identify Suspects in Germantown Attempted Armed Robbery

Police said detectives are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred about one month ago in Germantown and ask for the public’s help identifying suspects.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), two male suspects approached an adult male on Thursday, May 25 in the 19200 block of Cross Ridge Dr.

The suspects showed handguns, according to police, and demanded the man’s property but eventually fled without taking anything.

Police described one suspect as “a Black male, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches, to 5-feet, 9-inches tall, between the ages of 17 and 18, wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and red and black sneakers.”

A second suspect is described as “a Black male, approximately 5-feet, 6-inches, to 5-feet, 9-inches tall, between the ages of 17 and 18, wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and yellow and black sneakers.”

MCPD asks anyone with information to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Up to $10,000 is offered for information that leads to arrest. Callers can be anonymous.
