A Back to School STEM Festival takes place on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East County Community Recreation Center.
The family friendly event, hosted by the recreation department and the Housing Opportunities Commission, focuses on interactive exhibits and activities to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The festival features backpack giveaways, food, games and more.
