Councilmember Natali Fani-González represents District 6 of Montgomery County, one of the most diverse districts in the region. Fani-González emigrated from Venezuela as a teenager and has been living in the County ever since. She has two young children in Montgomery County Public Schools. Her husband is a former U.S. Marine and Electrical Engineer. They live in Wheaton.
Fani-González, one of six new women elected to the County Council, discussed the importance of honoring women’s history month at one of her favorite places in her district, a minority woman-owned small business.
