Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Burtonsville Under Investigation

The Montgomery County Police (MCPD) are investigating a single-vehicle collision that killed one man in Burtonsville this weekend.

According to a report, Montgomery County Fire Rescue and MCPD responded at 12:15 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of Old Columbia Pike and Dustin Road for the report of a single-vehicle crash.

Police concluded that a 2008 Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound on Old Columbia Pike when it struck a retaining wall for unknown reasons.

The driver of the car, an adult male, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Collisions Reconstruction Unit of the MCPD is investigating the crash and will provide information as it becomes available.
