Happy April Fools Day! It’s Wednesday, April 1 and here are five things worth knowing in Montgomery County.

1. Complete the Census: It’s National Census Day! Complete the census at Gov. Larry Hogan has received permission to extend the deadline of the census.

2. Hogan, Whitmer Pen Joint Op-Ed: Gov. Hogan and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) penned a joint op-ed in the Washington Post, which was published Monday. The op-ed is titled “What governors need from Washington during this health emergency.” Read the article on The Post’s website.

3. Senior Meals Program:  Montgomery County Department of Recreation tweeted that the Senior Meals Program will be held as scheduled.

4. Remote Northwood Update: Northwood High School students are continuing to broadcast their Morning News Show on a weekly basis from their homes. Here’s a look at the student journalists’ update on Friday.
