Police continue to investigate the homicide of an 18-year-old from Gaithersburg who died the day after New Year’s.
18-year-old Taeyon Malachi Prather was found Friday evening in a parking lot on Rolling Fork Way in Gaithersburg, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
Around 7:21 p.m. Friday, county fire and rescue went to the 23600 block of Rolling Fork Way for a report of a person down. First responders found Prather suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Prather’s death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy.
There is no suspect in custody and no suspect information available, according to police.
