Germantown Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Montgomery Village Shooting

Damien Fisher, 29, of Germantown, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault in connection with an Aug. 16 shooting in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle, Montgomery Village.

Montgomery County Police responded at 11:23 p.m. to that location after learning of the shooting. When police arrived, they saw a juvenile male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. According to police, the young man was on the back staircase.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

In September, police detectives identified Fisher as the suspect. They announced that they also learned that Fisher was a suspect in a carjacking and kidnapping incident. He was charged with kidnapping, first-degree assault and unauthorized removal of a vehicle.

Fisher was arrested Sept. 23 in connection with the carjacking and kidnapping incident.

Police also charged him with the attempted murder and assault while he remained at the Montgomery County Central Processing Center, where he currently is being held without bond.
