Michael Boyd Jr., 40, of Olney was found guilty Thursday of first-degree assault and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
He faces a maximum of 90 years in prison and will be sentenced June 20.
A jury found Boyd guilty in connection with a July 13, 2023 fight outside of Sole D’Italia restaurant in Layhill. According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, a fight broke out behind the restaurant.
Boyd arrived on the scene shortly after the fight had started. He pointed a firearm at multiple people.
During the fight, four people were shot, including Boyd, according to a spokesperson for the State’s Attorney’s Office. Another person was injured due to bullet fragments.
The fight was captured by several surveillance cameras.
