Quince Orchard (7-0) faces off against Northwest (3-4) in MCM’s High School Football Game of the Week.
Quince Orchard has won 21 straight games since the start of last season, including the 2021 Maryland 4A state championship. Their defense has given up just 15 total points through seven games this season.

Northwest enters this week’s matchup riding a two-game win streak. The Jaguars beat Seneca Valley (5-2) 29-26 last week.
Northwest’s football program has been embroiled in controversy in recent weeks. Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) suspended Hawkins and subsequently “vacated” his position after a fight broke out during a Sept. 16 football game against Gaithersburg High School.

In response to Hawkins’ dismissal, more than 4,500 people have signed an online petition calling for MCPS to reinstate him as Northwest’s head coach.
