Montgomery County Under Flood Watch Wednesday Afternoon

Montgomery County is under a flood watch beginning 2 p.m. Wednesday. 

“Showers and thunderstorms are likely later this afternoon and evening which may produce locally heavy rainfall,” the National Weather Service (NWS) Baltimore/Washington wrote on Twitter.

A flood watch was issued for the potential for flash flooding, NWS said.

“Expect heavy rainfall that may produce flooding within the next 24 hours,” Montgomery County Emergency Management and Homeland Security wrote.
