A Silver Spring pedestrian has died after being struck on North Horners Lane near Southlawn Lane in Rockville on Thursday, April 16, according to Montgomery County Police.
Thuong Luu Tai, 83, was struck at 3:40 p.m. When Rockville City police officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel arrived, they found her in the roadway. They transported her to an area hospital, where she later died, according to police.
According to results of a preliminary investigation, police noted the driver of a black 2011 Acura RDX was traveling northbound on North Horners Lane when Tai was struck.
The driver remained at the scene, and police said there were no signs of impairment.
Tai’s path of travel remains under investigation, according to police.
