Police arrested Chris Perez, 21, George Clarence Molina, 20, of Gaithersburg and Jonathan Schwegler, 25, of Germantown, according to a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).

According to police, Molina and Perez went into a 7-Eleven in the 15900 block of Shady Grove Road at about 3 a.m. on April 14. Perez approached an employee and demanded he open the cash register, and then struck him in the head with a handgun as the employee tried to open the drawer. Molina was acting as a lookout, police said.

Then, Perez stole cash and left with Molina. They left in a red Toyota, which Schwegler was driving.

Police said a motorcycle was also seen arriving and leaving with the Toyota. Police released photos of an additional person of interest and ask for the public’s help identifying him.

Perez, Molina and Schwegler were identified as suspects through investigation. Arrest warrants were obtained that charged them with armed robbery, first-degree assault and firearm-related charges, according to police. They were arrested and are being held without bond.
