Montgomery County Police are investigating a series of burglaries at the Stay Lit Smoke Shop in Damascus beginning in August.
Based on security footage obtained from each burglary, detectives believe the same suspects have been involved in all the incidents. Detectives have camera security video and ask for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved in these burglaries.
Four burglaries and one attempted burglary have occurred at the store located in the 26100 block of Ridge Road:
August 6, 2023, at approximately 12:35 a.m.
August 25, 2023, at approximately 4:30 a.m.
Sept. 17, 2023, at approximately 3:35 a.m.
Sept. 24, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m. (attempted)
Nov. 6, 2023, at approximately 3:40 a.m.
In the above incidents, two to five suspects entered the business by smashing the front door or window with various objects. Once inside, the suspects stole assorted merchandise from the store, according to an MCPD press release.
