Update: Man Found Dead Inside Vehicle in Glenmont Area Being Investigated as Homicide

Update (Jan. 15): Montgomery County Police are investigating the homicide of a man that was found inside a parked car located in the Wheaton-Glenmont area.

The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Martin Sean Nolan of Rockville.

Authorities responded to the report of a shooting in the parking lot area of an elementary school located on the 3100 block of Medway Street at 5:39 a.m. Officers found Nolan in a vehicle suffering from trauma, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Nolan’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, according to an MCPD press release.

Police say there have been six homicides in Montgomery County this year, including the officer-involved shooting that happened in Gaithersburg on Jan.8. There were no homicides in the county last year, according to authorities.

The investigation involving Nolan is ongoing. Original Post (Jan. 14): Montgomery County Police are conducting a death investigating after a male was found inside a vehicle in the Glenmont area.

Authorities responded to the 3100 block of Medway Street shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Thursday.
