Race-Based Vandalism Discovered at Elementary School in Clarksburg

Race-based words of hate were spray painted on a sidewalk and the roof by Wilson Wims Elementary School in Clarksburg, according to Montgomery County Police Department.

According to Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department Fifth District Investigative Section, the two acts of vandalism occurred between June 17 and 18.

On June 18, a school employee alerted police that race-based hate words were spray painted on the sidewalk near the side of the school, which is located at 12520 Blue Sky Drive. Then, on June 24, another school employee reported that race-based hate words were spray painted on the roof overhang of a portable classroom.

Police are asking nearby residents who have home surveillance cameras to review the video during June 17 and 18 to see if they notice any suspicious activity.
