Residents Say This Election is Different

Tuesday was the second day for early voting in Maryland.

MyMCMedia was at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg – the location had the highest turnout in the county as of 4 p.m.

Voters said this election feels different from previous ones they’ve participated in.

The state Board of Elections said more than 161,000 residents early-voted on Monday. The board said that breaks the state’s previous single-day early voting record of 143,494, which was on the last day of early voting in 2016. As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, 105,399 more Marylanders cast their ballots.

The Montgomery County Board of Elections said 24,359 residents early-voted Monday. The count for Tuesday as of 4 p.m. was 16,180 according to the board.
