Several County High Schools Rank Amongst Highest in State in New Study

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) shine in a new study provided by Niche. In Niche’s “2023 Best Public Schools in Maryland” rankings, 11 Montgomery County high schools were listed in the top 25. Seven of these schools are ranked in the top 10:

  1. Poolesville High School
  2. Walt Whitman High School
  3. Marriotts Ridge High School, Howard County Public Schools
  4. Winston Churchill High School
  5. River Hill High School, Howard County Public Schools
  6. Richard Montgomery High School
  7. Thomas S. Wootton High School
  8. Walter Johnson High School
  9. Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School
  10. Centennial High School, Howard County Public Schools
  1. Montgomery Blair High School

16.  Northwest High School

18.  Quince Orchard High School

  1. Sherwood High School

Poolesville was also ranked 35th in the nation for best public schools.
