Silver Spring Arts & Entertainment District Seeks Applicants for Advisory Group

The Silver Spring Arts & Entertainment District seeks applicants to fill vacancies on its Advisory Group. Designated by the State of Maryland in 2001 and managed by Montgomery County Government, the District aims to develop, promote, and support a diverse artistic and cultural center. This includes economic development, attracting tourism, preserving a sense of community, and encouraging revitalization.

Located in downtown Silver Spring, the District offers an urban center showcasing the arts and entertainment community. It provides culture, recreation, and entertainment for residents and visitors alike.

The 15-member Advisory Group will include representatives from various stakeholders within the District. These include individuals working at arts organizations, venues, and entertainment anchors, as well as artists and residents. The group will advise the Silver Spring Regional Center on supporting arts and entertainment entities in Silver Spring.

Applicants from diverse backgrounds, professions, genders, abilities, ethnicities, and ages are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is April 1.
