Silver Spring Leaders Express Concerns About Increasing Crime

Following recent reports of carjackings, stabbings and other criminal activity, the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce is calling on Montgomery County Police, councilmembers and the County Executive “to increase police presence on the street.”

Jane Redicker, president and CEO of the chamber, told MyMCM, “The chamber is very concerned.” She stressed, “We need more officers on the street. We need more visibility on the street.”

MyMCM spoke with community leaders to get their feedback.
