Silver Spring standout Baba Oladotun selected for USA Basketball

Baba Oladotun of Silver Spring has had an amazing year in basketball and that stretch looks to continue.

Fresh off  of helping James Hubert Blake win the school’s first ever boys state title, the highly touted Maryland commit will now get a chance to shine on the national stage. Oladotun been chosen to participate in the USA Basketball Under 18 National Team Training Camp later this month.

 Oladotun is one of 35 players selected to the training camp. It begins on May 21 at the national training center in Colorado Springs. The 12-player team will be announced prior to departing for the 2026 FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup set for June 1-7 in Leon, Mexico.

Oladotun has been involved with USA Basketball since 2023. Last April, he was part of the 2025 USA Men’s Junior National Team April minicamp in San Antonio. He also took part in two Junior National Team minicamps in 2024 and one in 2023.

Oladotun, a swing forward from James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, was the No. 10 overall recruit in the nation. He led Blake to the schoool’s first ever state title in March. Oladotun is committed to play basketball at the University of Maryland in the fall.
