Mansoor Delane is headed to play cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Silver Spring native was selected sixth overall in the NFL Draft Thursday night in Pittsburgh.
“They weren’t really on me too much in this process, but they said they just wanted to keep it quiet and make that sneak move,” Delane told ESPN about being selected by Kansas City. “And they made the best move in the draft. I’m excited.”
Delane was a star performer at Louisiana State University. He earned first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC honors in 2025.
Delane started his high school career playing football at Landon School in Bethesda. He transferred and finished at Archbishop Spalding in Severn, Maryland.
