Speak Up Speak Out explores free speech and the importance of community media in the country. Montgomery Community Media hosted this panel discussion on Community Media Day – an annual celebration of voices to bring awareness to the importance of free speech and accessible media for all individuals to have their voices heard.
This program explores the many issues surrounding the First Amendment in our country. Hosted by MCM CEO Jasmine White, the guest list includes Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass, Executive Director of the Montgomery County Friends of the Library Ari Brooks and Mike Wassenaar, President and CEO of the Alliance For Community Media.
Topics under discussion include the value of libraries in our society, free press, social media and the importance of local media in today’s communication landscape.
