Suspects Sought in Silver Spring Shootout

MCPD asks for the public’s help in identifying five suspects who participated in a shootout in Silver Spring on Tuesday, August 1.

The event happened at around 4 p.m. when four Black males and a separate lone Black male began exchanging gunfire in the 1500 block of November Circle. After the shooting stopped the lone male, dressed in a white tank top and black shorts, took off toward April Lane. According to detectives he then got in a gray Honda Accord with tinted windows that sped through the parking lot. The group of other males all clad in black clothing ran around a building on November Circle. There they shot off an additional round before they headed toward the White Oak Recreation Center.

No one was injured in the gun fight.

Detectives urge anyone with information about the shooting or the suspects to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at the toll-free number 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous.

MCPD offers a reward of $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s).
