There’s been an uptick in COVID-19 cases not only locally but also nationwide, according to health officials.
During his weekly virtual media briefing on Wednesday, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich mentioned that the increase in cases is ‘troubling.’ “This is not good if you look at the numbers,” said Elrich.
Montgomery County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles also added that data is tending in a way that the county doesn’t like.
There’s been an increase in hospitalizations statewide which health officials say is being closely monitored. Locally, the county continues to prepare for a possible surge.
