Canceled: Olney Days Parade as Popular as Ever 40 Years Later

UPDATE Saturday, April 29: The Olney Days parade scheduled for Sunday, April 30 has been canceled due to the weather forecast for heavy rains.

Original: The Olney Days Parade, a longstanding tradition in Olney, is taking place this weekend. This three-day long extravaganza contains nine different events in various locations around Olney.

On Friday April 28, there will be an outdoor screening of Puss In Boots: The Last Wish at OBGC (Olney Boys & Girls Club) fields from 8-10 p.m.

Saturday’s events will include a ride for hope, cardboard boat racing and Party in the Park. Party in the Park will be from 3:00 p.m. to dark at Olney Manor Park, and will have live music, carnival games, fireworks, food trucks and more.

The parade will take place on Sunday April 30, along with a concert, community clean-up and car and truck show. The parade will ​begin at Prince Phillip Dr, travel north on Georgia Ave, and end on Spartan Rd.

Olney Days Parade began 40 years ago and has grown into a community-wide celebration that keeps the small town feeling alive.
