1. Olney Days:  Numerous events are planned for the weekend of April 28-30 in locations around Olney, culminating in a parade Sunday. A list of planned road closures may be found on the county police website.

2. Arbor Day Event CANCELED: Update: With weather predictions, this event is canceled.
Friday is a day to celebrate the planting, upkeep and preservation of trees. The County Executive and Council attend a tree planting in Wheaton Veterans Urban Park at 4 p.m. Friday.

3. Healthy Kids Day: The YMCA’a annual event takes place at both the Bethesda-Chevy Chase and Silver Spring Y’s Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Both Y’s host an open house, free activities and a COVID vaccine clinic.

4. School Events: The school district’s annual Special Education Resource Fair takes place at Gaithersburg High School Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Also, the Magruder High School cluster is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Magruder High School in Rockville. Families may explore the Community Opioid Prevention Education trailer and receive training to administer the life-saving drug Narcan.

5. Paws in the Park: The popular event held at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg features a one-mile dog walk, a canine agility course and competition, contests and games for both dogs and their owners, kids activities, music and food vendors. Registration required.
