1.Elections: Deadline for a registered voter to request a mailed or faxed vote-by-mail ballot  – 8:00 p.m. (by mail) or 11:59 p.m. (email/fax/online).

2.Montgomery County Council: Council and committee meetings.

3. Student App Challenge: Middle and high school students living or attending school in Maryland’s Eighth Congressional District may submit their applications to the Challenge through Nov. 1 at 12:00 p.m.

4. Food Distribution:Food distribution only by walk-ins, enabled parking. Bring ID and your own bags (non-perishable food and vegetables) at 10700 Georgia Ave. Silver Spring from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

5. Piney Branch Public Pool: The hours of operations are Monday through Thursday 6:30 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. On the weekends the pool is only open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
