A 33-year-old Rockville man was arrested following a several months-long drug investigation by Montgomery County police officers.
The suspect, Elijah Bell ,is being held without bond on drug and weapons charges including possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not cannabis) and eight firearms charges.
Members of the police’s 4th District Community Action Team and detectives from the Special Investigation Division conducted a search Oct. 22 during the investigation of Bell’s suspected drug distribution activities. They found 3,726 grams of cocaine, almost 10 pounds of cannabis, two handguns and about $10,000.
Police said that the handguns had been reported stolen, according to police.
A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 21.
