1. Girl Power Contest deadline: 5 p.m. is the new deadline for the 2026 Girl Power Contest sponsored by the Montgomery County Commission for Women. See more here
2. Youth block party: From 1-5 p.m. at the East County Community Recreation Center, there will be a youth block party with basketball, futsal, food and a DJ. It is free for middle and high school students. See more here
3. Election judges needed: Election judges are needed in Montgomery County for the Primary Election in June.
4. Stay hydrated: During this hot and humid weather, County Fire and Rescue Service Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer advises residents to stay hydrated, limit time outdoors and use air conditioning.
